How To Dress Well in Chicago

"The Sunshine Store"

Readers of my memoir, ALL I COULD BARE, know that I was once a regular on a kids' TV show in D.C. As I wrote in the book:

"When I was in junior high, I became a regular on The Sunshine Store, a children’s TV show on the local NBC affiliate. I played the friendly neighborhood black kid who came in the store and learned life lessons from the middle-aged white store owner. In that way, the premise was similar to Diff’rent Strokes or Webster except I didn’t get adopted."

Well, here's actual--and completely mortifying video from the show.

Big Ass NSFW Birthday Post

This month marks both my birthday and the fifth year of this blog. In order to celebrate, I'm doing some things that I hope you'll like.

A) I'm releasing two new photo books that you can buy or flip through for free. The first compiles my fave photos from the past five years. The second answers the question: "What happens when you put me and my cameras in a hotel room with two hot go-go boys and a big bottle of Smirnoff?"

B) I'm putting my previous books American Boys: a strip club diary and SHOWER on issuu.com for you to freely peruse.

C) You can download the audiobook for my memoir ALL I COULD BARE: My Life in the Strip Clubs of Gay Washington, D.C. for free. I hope you enjoy! This is my way of saying thanks for all the support over the last 5 years. More exciting new things are to come!!!

These are my fave photos from 5 years of this blog.

London & Paris

(Obligatory Eiffel Tower Shot)

Untitled (October 2012)
By Craig Seymour

Frank Ocean in a sushi bar in London;
Pink in a Paris taxi.
(The driver switched stations when “Skyfall” came on. My mom was totally bummed—LOL.)

A Joey Bada$$ poster in the Metro.
Kendrick Lamar bootlegs on the Champs-Élysées.
Pusha-T flyers in a Les Halles sneaker spot.
Hey Paris, way to represent for hip-hop, yo!

At Raidd Bar, a shower dancer soaped his wood to Mariah Carey’s “Triumphant”: “Realize all things are possible…”

Drunk off vodka and Coca-Cola Light, in a cab back to the hotel, thinking about the future and shit.
Pusha-T on the iPhone: “The game is all us/’Til the sky calls/Or it’s flames on us.”
